It is a fiber-forming polymer, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is prepared by esterification or ester exchange and polycondensation reaction of refined terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) as raw materials and is prepared by spinning and post-treatment. Polyester is the simplest of the three synthetic fibers, and its price is relatively low. In addition, it is strong and durable, elastic, not easy to deform, corrosion-resistant, insulating, crisp, easy to wash and quick-dry, and other characteristics, and is loved by people.
  
  Advantages of 100% polyester plush fabric:
  
  1. High strength. The short fiber strength is 2.6-5.7cn/dtex, and the high strength fiber is 5.6～ 8.0cN/dtex. Due to its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is basically the same as its dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose.
  
  2. Good flexibility. The elasticity is close to wool, and when it is stretched by 5% ~ 6%, it can almost completely recover. The crease resistance is higher than that of other fibers, i.e. the fabric does not crease and has good dimensional stability. The elastic modulus is 22-141 cN/dtex, which is 2-3 times higher than nylon. 100% polyester plush fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, therefore, it is firm and durable, wrinkle resistant and non-ironing.
  
  3. Heat resistance. 100% polyester plush fabric is made by melt spinning, and the formed fiber can be heated and melted again, which belongs to thermoplastic fiber. The melting point of 100% polyester plush fabric is relatively high, but the heat void and thermal conductivity are both small, so the heat resistance and thermal insulation of 100% polyester plush fabric are higher. It is the best of synthetic fibers.
  
  4. The surface is smooth and the internal molecules are closely arranged. 100% polyester plush fabric is the fabric with the best heat resistance among synthetic fabrics. It is thermoplastic and can be used to make pleated skirts with lasting pleats. At the same time, 100% polyester plush fabric has poor melt resistance and is easy to form holes in case of ash, sparks, etc. Therefore, cigarette butts and sparks should be avoided when wearing.
  
  5. Good wear resistance. The abrasion resistance of 100% polyester plush fabric is second only to nylon with the best abrasion resistance and is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
  
  6. Good light resistance. Light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber. 100% polyester plush fabric has better light fastness, and its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabric except for acrylic fiber. Especially in the back of the glass, the sun-resistance is very good, almost equal to acrylic fiber.
  
  7. Corrosion resistance. Resistant to bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. It is resistant to dilute alkali and mildew, but it can be decomposed by hot alkali. It also has strong acid and alkali resistance and ultraviolet resistance.
  
  8. The dyeing property is poor, but the color fastness is good and is not easy to fade. The molecular chain of 100% polyester plush fabric has no specific dyeing group, and its polarity is small, so it is difficult to dye and easy to dye. Dye molecules are not easy to enter the fiber.
  
  9. The fabric made of ordinary polyester long silk has the advantages of good strength, smoothness, crispness, easy washing and quick drying, but it has the disadvantages of hard hand feeling, poor tactility, soft luster, poor air permeability, poor hygroscopicity, etc. If compared with real silk fabrics, the gap is even greater, so silk must be simulated on the silk thread structure to eliminate the disadvantage of poor wearability.
  
  10. The hygroscopicity is poor, wearing a sultry feeling, at the same time easy to take static electricity, dirt, affect the appearance and comfort.
